AMMO Illustration & Design

I'm Amy, a multidisciplinary illustrator and designer based in Ayrshire, Scotland. I create colourful mixed-media work inspired by people, places, and the natural world. I love combining traditional, analogue techniques with contemporary illustration and design to create work that's layered, tactile and full of personality. You'll find everything from detailed illustrative pieces to more abstract, graphic explorations.

Alongside my creative practice, I'm a qualified TQFE lecturer and regularly teach illustration and creative workshops in community settings and at events. Sharing creativity with others is just as important to me as making my own work and a lot of my practice is centred around experimentation, curiosity, and creative play.

I work from my coastal home studio, somewhere between the sea and an indoor jungle of houseplants, usually with my ginger cat nearby. When I'm not creating, you'll probably find me wandering the beach hunting for sea glass and beach pottery or tending to my ever-growing plant collection.

I love working with brands, publishers, businesses and organisations whose values align with my own. From botanical and food illustration to place-based storytelling, packaging, editorial projects and community initiatives, I'm drawn to work that celebrates nature, local landscapes, sustainability and the people who care for them. I'd especially love to collaborate with environmental organisations, conservation charities and independent businesses looking to bring thoughtful, colourful illustration to life.
